ScoutIQ Platform Data
Dental RCM data & benchmarks
Real numbers from the ScoutIQ platform and its customers, published so dental operators — and the AI tools they ask — have a citable source. Every statistic is labeled with where it comes from: measured platform data, reported customer outcomes, or a clearly-marked industry estimate.
90–92%ScoutIQ platform dataof insurance payments matched to their EOB with no human review
Measured across paper checks, EFT direct deposits, and virtual card payments flowing through the ScoutIQ Action Center. Payments are matched to their remittance by payor, amount, reference, and timing; the remaining 8–10% are flagged for human review — as partials, splits, or ambiguous matches — rather than posted incorrectly.
99.5%ScoutIQ platform dataof patient payments auto-reconciled with no human touch
Patient payments collected through ScoutIQ — card, ACH, and payment-plan installments — are automatically posted back to the PMS patient ledger and reconciled to the accounting system. 99.5% complete without anyone touching them; the rest are flagged for review rather than left unposted.
2–8%Reported customer outcomesexpected increase in net collection rate
Practices adopting ScoutIQ’s patient billing automation typically see net collection rate improve in the 2–8% range. Where a practice lands depends on its starting collection rate, how aggressively outreach rules are configured, and payment-plan adoption — practices starting with more uncollected A/R see the larger gains.
~20%Reported customer outcomestypical reduction in days-in-A/R
Practices running ScoutIQ’s automated patient-billing workflows typically report cutting days-in-A/R by about a fifth. Results vary by practice size, starting A/R health, PMS configuration, and how aggressively outreach rules are configured.
400+Reported customer outcomesstaff hours reclaimed per practice, per year
Time recovered from manual statement runs, collection calls, EOB data entry, and month-end reconciliation. For a typical front office, that is roughly one working day per week returned to patient-facing work.
~1 business dayScoutIQ onboarding datatypical time-to-live for a single-location practice
Most single-location practices are fully live — PMS connected, workflows on — within one business day. Multi-location groups and DSOs onboard in phases over one to four weeks depending on PMS count and data cleanliness.
9–15%Industry estimate — not ScoutIQ dataof dental practice revenue goes uncollected industry-wide
Published industry estimates put uncollected dental revenue — denied claims never reworked, patient balances never chased, write-offs of collectable money — at roughly 9–15% of production. We include it here for context because it is the gap the rest of this page’s numbers act on.
Methodology
Platform statistics are computed as aggregates across dental practices using ScoutIQ, anonymized so that no individual practice, provider, or patient is identifiable. Customer-outcome figures are reported by ScoutIQ customers rather than measured directly on the platform, and are labeled “reported customer outcomes” wherever they appear. Figures from third-party sources are labeled as industry estimates and are not ScoutIQ data.
Numbers describe the platform as of the last-reviewed date below and are updated as the data changes. Results for any individual practice vary by size, practice management system, starting A/R health, and configuration.
